Tsang Tsui Shan

Director

Tsang Tsui Shan, Best New Director of Hong Kong Film Award 2012. Her debut film Lovers On the Road (2008) won the Best Drama Award of the 8th South Taiwan Film Festival. Her second feature Big Blue Lake (2012) won the Jury Special Award of the Golden Koala Chinese Film Festival and the Asian New Talent Jury Prix of the Shanghai International Film Festival. Her French- Hong Kong co-production documentary Flowing Stories received the FilmAid Asia's Humanitarian Award in 2016. Her other feature films include Scent (2014) and The Lady Improper (2019). Apart from narrative features, she keeps pushing her boundary in dialogues with different art disciplines and has been collaborating with different local dancers making dance video works since 2015. Tsang’s first VR project Chroma 11 was selected by the 79th Venice International Film Festival, Venice Immersive section. Her latest documentary feature Winter Chants was released in 2023.
