Claudix Vanesix is a performance and XR artist from Perú based in France. Their work is critical of sexism and racism in the digital social life and reflects about its impact on the physical world. Claudix creates performance and Virtual Reality art that challenges the narrative of technological inevitability by mixing new technologies with ancestral traditions. Their recent work is a provocation about the human embodiment of Extended Realities and Artificial Intelligence, as a form of liberal transhumanism.
Claudix's work has been awarded and featured in galleries and festivals in Latin America, USA, Europe and Asia. The new media performance "Non Fuckable Tokens" has been presented in Ars Electronica, Festival de la Imagen, Hebbel Am Uffer, SXSW, Tabakalera, DOCK11, Videodrome2 and more. Their First VR Film "Dance Permit (Denied)" was premiered in the 36th International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam and presented in the 63th Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias, DocEdge, Paris New Images Festival, La Mama, Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato, SANFIC XR, and others.
