Summary
Yuri, a 67-year-old Korean woman, remembers the first day of spring when she had just turned 8. She had decided to go away from her mother’s home in South Korea to know if her father is still alive, a violinist soldier, held up in the North. A formidable adventure awaits her in the demilitarised zone at once heavenly and terrifying, where she will meet strange birds, mysterious spirits, but also traces of the war... Director
Fabienne Giezendanner is a director and author. She creates and directs traditional animated short films as well as interactive projects.
Since 2013, she has finally brought together fiction and interactivity with the Gigaminus project, a series for connected TV. “Le petit Malabar”, an immersive and interactive installation around the series Petit Malabar France Television, with the studio Tchack (Lille) for the National Museum of Natural History of Paris as part of the exhibition Météorites. Since 2017, she has written and directed various immersive and interactive fictions for virtual reality headsets, including “Dreamin'Zone” (2020 Venice Biennale selection) and “Forêts” (in production).
