Director

Lydia Yakonowsky is an economist and multimedia artist. She reuses and deconstructs visual elements from charts based on economic theory to create original immersive works that question and reshape the utility of economic modeling. The outcome is a vast statistical choreography in which disassembled grids, wandering parabolas, and strings of data intertwine. Her first dome film, "Introduction to Econometrics," received a Special Jury Mention at the SAT Fest 2022 in Montreal.
