Les larmes
d’Eugénie

When VR innovation enhances luxury

In collaboration with Cartier, Diversion contributed to the broadcast of Les Larmes d’Eugénie, a work by Mélanie Laurent. The virtual reality work, accompanied by a live musical performance, was presented at a prestigious venue in Venice, offering an ecological tale of rare intensity.

A bold fusion of opera and virtual reality

Through a virtual reality headset, 80 spectators discover an opera. At the end of the VR projection, the spectators remove their headsets and are immersed in a live performance, where the singers interpret the music live on stage. The combination of VR images and live performance leaves a lasting impression on the spectators, mobilising their senses and awareness.

An experience designed to sublimate the work of art

The broadcast of Les Larmes d’Eugénie required cutting-edge technical and artistic expertise:

  • Perfect synchronisation: Simultaneous VR projection on 80 headsets, ensuring a seamless experience for all viewers.
  • Technological and artistic harmony: A seamless transition between virtual reality and live performance.

A scenography designed for collective immersion

  • Perfect synchronisation: 80 spectators equipped with VR headsets experience the work simultaneously,
  • Bold transition: after the VR viewing, the audience is treated to a live performance in which the opera singers extend the experience.
  • Meticulous staging: the seating arrangements and the lighting and sound ambience enhance each stage of the experience, immersing the audience in both artistic and environmental reflection.

VR expertise for large-scale projects

After Les Larmes d’Eugénie, we continue to work with other prestigious institutions to enhance their projects.
